Mad Max and crew are actively seeking opportunities
for sponsorship and in order to participate and succeed in as much
sailing we can possibly do.
Local yacht racing rules have recently been
modified to allow advertising on racing sailboats, which has caused
a surge in corporate sponsorship and media exposure. Some of the
corporate sponsors in our area include Mercedes Benz, Yellow Pages,
Harmony Airways, Raytheon, American Express and Nortel Networks.
Sailboat racing programs use their sponsorship monies
to fund the constant upkeep, upgrading and repairing of these amazing
machines. Sponsors benefit from their relationships with racing
yachts by having their logo or message strongly represented on the
highly visible sails and hulls during yacht races, sail-pasts, and
at the docks during large-scale regattas.
In order to put the best campaign forward, with the
greatest chance to be successful this season, we need to partner
with various individuals and companies through sponsorship arrangements.
The Mad Max racing program is happy to provide any information you
may need to become a partner in our success. The program needs donations
ranging from equipment, safety gear, clothing, and of course finance.
We would be happy to meet with you to discuss any ideas you or your
company may have.
Because of her high profile looks and competitive
attitude, Mad Max often appears in local yachting magazines such
as Pacific Yachting, and North 49. She is currently featured on
posters and shelf cards in all North Shore Credit Union branches,
as well as the Easter Seals Regatta website www.eastersealsregatta.ca.
She attracts regatta photographers wherever she goes, and is likely
one of the most photographed boats in Vancouver.
